National Geographic Magazine has created a “TUMBLR” website that showcases more then 125 years of photography, curated from their archives.
If you haven’t been by lately or have never checked out the National Geographic website, I recommend you do so. The National Geographic Society has been inspiring people to care about the planet since 1888. It is one of the largest nonprofit scientific and educational institutions in the world. Its interests include geography, archaeology and natural science, and the promotion of environmental and historical conservation. Further, the National Geographic Society has been one of the premier producers of exceptional photography, both still and video in the world. For a photographer or videographers work to be produced or published by National Geographic is one of the highest honors available.
