Photo of the Day – Sweet ride

Sweet Ride

Photograph by David Wendel Robinson.

In the Philippines, the majority of motorcycles or scooters have engines from 100 to150 cc in size. Bikes with 250 plus cc are the more common big sport bikes, and you may be hard pressed to find bikes above 400cc  in most areas.  Even the ever present Trikes (motorcycle with side-car designed for multiple passengers and luggage) have typically no bigger then 150cc engines.

However on occasion you may see a really sweet  ride.  Most likely belonging to an expatriate living in the Philippines though you may see some Filipinos of means (above average incomes) riding big bikes as well.   In fact, Harley Davidson now has dealership in Manila in the Greenhills area.

Then again you may also see something really unique bikes like the one below.  A tricked out small bike, custom modified for family transportation.   (NOTE:  the photo below is not one of my own and was found on the internet and was not taken by me.)
