Subic Day 3 – Woke up to Sunshine.

After a good nights rest, woke up to sunshine.  Got my coffee and a good breakfast then headed out with my camera.   As I write this it is almost noon and the sun is still shining.  But looks like the storm clouds may be moving in.  Love sitting down at the restaurant with a cool breeze and the sound of the ocean waves.  Peaceful and refreshing.  They have good wi-fi here.   After a morning of photography then a little nap and now working on the blog and sipping iced tea.   This is what i had been hoping for the past 2 days.  Tomorrow I will leave, but going to make the most of the day.

The early morning I captured some good photos and am enjoying the day.  Sitting here is so peaceful.   Wish it could be like this everyday.   But enough of my rambling, here are this mornings photos.

Subic bay has one of the highest concentrations of war shipwrecks in the world. With 19 documented wrecks from the Spanish-American war through World War II, it is a divers paradise. Prior to 1992, due to the US Navy base, many of these wrecks were not accessible to the public. After the US Navy base was closed, thaere has developed a booming diving economy. and numerous diving schools.

The photo above was taken for a considerable distance. Didn’t have a long lens with me so had to crop to 25%.  The small but full boat was all too happy to pose for me even from the distance.

A man and woman patiently check and prepare their nets prior to going out on the bay. the go through the nets, checking for damage and making sure they are not tangled.
